Art of Asia

The inaugural exhibition at Lotus Loft will have Eastern addicts flocking to see sacred artworks from Tibet and Nepal that include meditational works such as thangkas (Tibetan silk paintings with embroidery) and mandalas (concentric diagrams with spiritual and ritual significance in Buddhism and Hinduism).

Statues of Indian divinities such as Lord Ganesh (the elephant deity worshipped as the remover of obstacles) and Goddess Lakshmi (the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, light, wisdom, fertility, generosity and courage, and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm) will also be on display. Lotus Loft is a tranquil space where you can also learn about ancient Khmer art, and enjoy documentaries about the Tibetan Bardo and traditional dancing in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan.
